  I went to the dentist with a broken tooth, and was told I need a root canal. OH MAN!! I was recommended to Advanced by my dentist. As well, one of the partners, Dr, Gentile, is a family friend. She was in Florida, but told me Dr. Chasen is fantastic. She also said to trust her, there will be no pain. Yea right!!! So I am a complete wuss when it comes to "procedures." I was up for the 24 hrs before the root canal treatment online reading everything I could, sweating, worrying and finally went to sleep at 3 a.m. Well, my 9 am appointment came, and I was literally dripping sweat down my back in the waiting room. I get called into the room, and the panic sets in, this is going to happen! The assistant takes some xrays to confirm the tooth, and then the doctor comes in. Dr. Chasen immediately puts me at ease with his kind manner, and upbeat personality. Told me the same thing as Dr. Gentile: this wont hurt at all. YEA RIGHT!! Well, the chair goes back, and before I know it, the novacaine has been injected. I didnt feel a thing. It kicks in, and another shot is given, of course dont feel this one at all either. Procedure is begun, I have my ipod on, and he begins the drilling. No feeling at all. Starts the files in and out of the canals. No feeling at all. Stuffs the tooth with the stuff. No feeling at all. Before I know it, it is over, and I didnt feel ANYTHING at all. It is now 4 hours later, novacaine is pretty well gone, and I am barely even sore. Dont be afraid...go get it done! And get it done here!
